About the Book

Immortals + Boredom = Catastrophe

Something old and dangerous is awake and influencing the immortals to act in ways they’d only imagined.

First, small things like Odin, Anubis and Mab going on separate vacations and leaving their seats of power open for the taking. Then, Yue Lao, Cupid, Bast, Apollo and a Kitsune messing with the lives and memories of mortals. It grows to pandemonium when Pan and Poseidon upend the world, creating the Warp – and a free-for-all where it comes to the immortals’ wildest fantasies. Thankfully, some immortals are older and wiser than others, catching on that everything isn’t as it seems… But damage control, trying to avoid the Apocalypse of all realms, and discovering who the ancient evil is, takes more magic, wit, and sacrifice than they could’ve dreamt possible. Can the unlikely grouping of Hel, Aphrodite, Set, Thor, Loki, Apollo, Freyja, Ra and Ammit save the realms?

Set stood on a riverbank watching the sunset. He could hear various insects and even a few bird calls. It was idyllic. He closed his eyes and breathed deeply.

‘Why are there mosquitoes here?’

Immediate rancour flowed through him and his eyes snapped open.

‘What are you doing here?’ Set asked the Norse interloper to the Duat.

‘I was invited,’ Thor answered.

‘ “Invited” isn’t the word I’d use. “Summoned” sounds about right.’

Both turned towards the speaker.

‘Lord Ra,’ Set greeted and bowed low.

‘As you both know, the world is in turmoil. Join me and I’ll explain.’

They stepped onto the sun god’s barque for his nightly journey through the Duat. Bast stood at the prow, weapons drawn.

‘Ignore her. She’s still on edge after what Isis had done,’ Ra said and sat down on his throne. ‘Now: Hel and the fae have restored the Mist; Aphrodite and other love gods have negated the violence and fear mortals had harboured. But we are still balancing on a precipice. If you fail in the task I’m about to set you, we will face the Apocalypse.’
