I found this series last year quite by accident and immediately joined the author’s newsletter and ARC team. Honestly my favourite paranormal romance reading right now. Remember to check out my interview with Nicole next week.
About the Book
She made a new friend…with a summoning circle.
Charlotte Azoria has no need for an imp. She’s awkward enough without throwing a tiny troublemaker into the mix. But after royally mucking up a spell, that’s exactly what she got, as well as a reunion with her best friend’s sexy brother. The last thing she wants is someone else all up in her business, but she needs Brandon. For his help, and for the future she’s always wanted.
Brandon Cole loves very few people, but his sister is one of them. So when she asks him to check on her bestie, he begrudgingly goes. Charlotte is different than he remembers. The same hot mess but in a lush tiny package. After being trapped, chased, and shoved out a window, what he really wants is to tuck her safely into bed. Next to him. Too bad the imp has other ideas.
Charlotte and her imp might be more trouble than they’re worth, but Brandon can’t help wondering if trouble is exactly what he needs.

My Review
Charlotte is hilarious – and Rav is awesome.
A fun, thrilling read about magic gone awry.
Can’t wait to read more of this series.
Trigger warning: steamy scene, summoning spell, scary witches.

About the Book
Magic is real, fairies are assholes, and everyone knew about it but me…
Sera Allen needs a change. The family house she inherits is the perfect place for a fresh start, except for the sexy neighbor she’d ditched years before and the surprise fairies living across the street. Before long, she’s neck-deep in magic, fae, and zombie bunnies, and her tenuous connection to her powers relies on the one man she wants to avoid.
Jake Thomas is happy in his mundane life. Magic is for other people. Until the girl who’d broken his heart moves back home and he finds himself drawn into the world of the fae. She needs his help, but can he trust her to stick around this time when things get rough?
With a dark force threatening the town, they’ll have to face their pasts and overcome their distrust to have any chance at a future. Together they can make magic, but will it be enough?

My Review
Sera and Jake make such a cute couple! I enjoyed seeing them fix the things of the past and work together for a bright future.
I’m still wondering about the wolf…
Will is a jerk and should have been eaten by Torix – or died in another spectacularly horrific way.
I enjoyed the use of magic and the way the Woods work. The use of Samhain and the thinning of the veils were awesome. Sera’s magic is hilarious (more eating than actually useful). LOL.
Can’t wait to read about Ryan, Zee and Maddie in future books.
Trigger warnings: language, domestic abuse, animal sacrifice

About the Book
Life doesn’t change much in the Wood, but when it does, it brings Netflix.
Zee likes being in charge. She’s good at it, and the Fae have thrived under her leadership. When the Wood summarily exiles her, she’s flung into the human world with no magic and no idea how to get back to her people. Out of options, she turns to Ryan, her closest human connection and the subject of an unfortunate attraction. Will he help her find her way or prove to be a dangerous distraction?
Ryan Nolan hates his magic. It’s dangerous and wild, and he can’t control it. Until the sexy leader of the Fae offers an exchange. She’s a temptation he’s resisted before, but maybe this time the reward will be worth the risk.
When mysterious shadows start appearing in the Wood, Zee and Ryan find themselves on opposite ends of a magical tug-of-war. Can they find a common ground where human and magic meet or will their differences tear them apart?
Insidious Magic is a full-length paranormal romance novel featuring a warrior princess heroine with a donut obsession and a tech-god hero with some surprising warrior moves of his own.

My Review
Love the fight scenes! Enjoyed the warrior princess fight lessons.
I liked that Sera and Jake were part of Zee and Ryan’s story just as Zee and Ryan had been part of the other couple’s story.
I wonder about Janet and her iguana…
The way the Wood channelled and fought the different kinds of magic was awesome. I liked that the sprites actually have a purpose.
Zee and Ryan are so cute together! I liked how they got to know each other past their previous relationship of fae and supplicant.
Zee is an awesome warrior and I liked how she helped to heal the Wood, her people (including Evie), and Ryan all without her magic.
A highly enjoyable read. Can’t wait for the next book!

My Review
The wolf! I knew there was something different about him – turned out he was Aiden, stuck in one form for a very long time, enslaved to Torix just as Maddie was.
I liked how the mystery created in book one was now finally unravelled, and Torix and Will dealt with – each time Will appears I wish someone would run him over with a lorry…
I enjoyed Maddie and Aiden’s story very much. I liked how the trods were used, the places they visited and the creatures they met.
I liked how Maddie healed and learned to use her magic. And Aiden is just awesome!
A great read with all the feels.
Shelves: magic, fantasy, faeries, urban fantasy, romance, steamy, books that should have a trigger warning.

About the Book
What’s the point of having magical powers if she can’t use them to smite her enemies?
Dru Collins refuses to be a sacrifice, which is why she’s staying in the human world until further notice. The dryad realm offers nothing but an arranged marriage and a life-sucking job, literally. Her all-but-useless magic will call her back one day, but until then, she’ll fight to find a different path, princess or not. When threats from her royal mother and an incompetent assassin start to pile up, Dru recruits the one man she probably shouldn’t trust—a sexy shifter bounty-hunter who intends to bring her home.
Oren Ashir has new orders from the clan: find the dryad, retrieve the traitor, return to the elders. Except the traitor has knowledge about the disappearance of his parents, and the dryad is a feisty beauty with a mission of her own. Dru is the key to accessing the dryad realm, but pursuing the traitor puts her in danger. He’ll have to make a choice: find the answers to his past or protect the woman he wants for his future.
Tied together on a complicated mission, Oren and Dru discover secrets hidden by friends and enemies alike. With time ticking down until Dru has to return home, will they learn to trust themselves and each other before it’s too late?

My Review
Dryads, Dragons, near-death experiences, a hunky hero and a strong female protagonist. What’s not to love?
Dru and Oren are a great couple and their adventure through woods, New York and the dryad homeland is a true page-turner. I couldn’t get enough of the magic, the different twists and the creatures introduced.
And the Tree…! So much fun to read and to explore this world.
I can’t wait to read the next book.

About the Book
Defy fate, embrace the chaos, and avoid the angry death goblins.
Samantha Bailey hates her visions, until she sees the death of the man who both infuriates and enflames her. Unfortunately, he despises oracles, so she doesn’t dare tell him she is one. Can she maintain her distance while keeping him close to protect him? Or does fate have other plans?
Luc Marsyas enjoys luxury, power, and Samantha. Often not in that order. Beneath the beautiful mage’s icy veneer lurks a fiery passion that he’s obsessed with setting free. But he’s not the only one obsessed. Someone wants her dead, and Luc begins to wonder how far he’ll go to protect her.
When an attack forces them to flee to a distant realm, Luc and Samantha must stop fighting each other long enough to find a way home. Preferably one that doesn’t involve goblin assassins or death magic. The fight for survival brings them together, but will their unlikely bond survive when he finds out what she’s hidden?

My Review
Janet’s true identity is finally revealed – so cool! I like how the mystery of the lost group that had supposedly gone to the dryad realm was resolved. And Tamra finally got dealt with.
Samantha and Luc make a great, explosive couple. I enjoyed reading their adventure – the squirrels were awesome! I liked the tour of the magical realm and the special animals there.
I enjoyed the way different aspects from previous stories came together to create a satisfying end to the series.
Samantha is super powerful and Luc is quite interesting. Their snark-filled courtship, sudden trust when thrown into danger, and selflessness was endearing.
A great read with all the feels.
