A to Z Challenge

Two Sides of the L #AtoZChallenge

L is for Lady Antebellum and Linkin Park

As I mentioned in my theme-reveal post, this month will be all about music and how it inspires my writing.

At first I just wanted to concentrate on my favourite band, but that might be just a bit too much for most readers. So I added something on the other side of the spectrum to balance things out.

Lady Antebellum. The first song I heard from them – that made me love them – is “Need You Now”. (It was also on “Glee”.) I find their music soothing. Their music is (mostly) on my “writing romance” playlist.

Favourite album: “Own The Night” Favourite song: “Just A Kiss

Linkin Park. I’ve always known about them, but their album “Minutes to Midnight” is the one that drew me in and got me hooked on their music. I have a writing playlist that mostly consists of their songs. Their music fades into the background and I can just write. Songs that come up a lot is: “In the End”, “Breaking the Habit”, “Leave Out All the Rest” and “What I’ve Done” (among others).

Favourite album: “Linkin Park – Greatest Hits” Favourite song: “New Divide

Word of the day: lah

According to Collins English dictionary: lah n music (in tonic sol-fa) the sixth note of any major scale

Linkin Park isn’t for everyone, so I decided to leave you with a song from Lady Antebellum. (You can always click on the links on the songs above to hear them.)

Do you like Lady Antebellum or Linkin Park? Do you have a favourite music group/artist that starts with an “L”?

  1. I haven’t heard of Lady, but I do enjoy Linkin Park. Good choices!
