As I mentioned in my theme-reveal post, this month will be all about music and how it inspires my writing.

At first I just wanted to concentrate on my favourite band, but that might be just a bit too much for most readers. So I added something on the other side of the spectrum to balance things out.

Lady Antebellum. The first song I heard from them – that made me love them – is β€œNeed You Now”. (It was also on β€œGlee”.) I find their music soothing. Their music is (mostly) on my β€œwriting romance” playlist.

Favourite album: β€œOwn The Night” Favourite song: β€œJust A Kiss”

Linkin Park. I’ve always known about them, but their album β€œMinutes to Midnight” is the one that drew me in and got me hooked on their music. I have a writing playlist that mostly consists of their songs. Their music fades into the background and I can just write. Songs that come up a lot is: β€œIn the End”, β€œBreaking the Habit”, β€œLeave Out All the Rest” and β€œWhat I’ve Done” (among others).

Favourite album: β€œLinkin Park – Greatest Hits” Favourite song: β€œNew Divide”

Word of the day: lah

According to Collins English dictionary: lah n music (in tonic sol-fa) the sixth note of any major scale

Linkin Park isn’t for everyone, so I decided to leave you with a song from Lady Antebellum. (You can always click on the links on the songs above to hear them.)

Do you like Lady Antebellum or Linkin Park? Do you have a favourite music group/artist that
starts with an β€œL”?
