I read a couple of short ebooks in the last couple of months and thought I’d share my reviews here in case you wanted to check them out.
Chosen Witch by Valia Lind
My Review
An exciting introduction to Mer and her town. The magic is awesome, the romance sweet and the different types of magic users (witches, shifters and ancients) quite interesting.
A great start to a series. I’m definitely interested in reading more.

Beneath the Knowe by Anthea Sharp
My Review
An enjoyable short story set in a historic Celtic world where men rule and women obey. Maeve is a strong-willed young woman who knows what she wants and is willing to do dangerous things to do the humanly right thing. After gaining much and losing things she didn’t expect, she can finally follow her music. Great worldbuilding and enchanting fae.

Fractured Moonlight by Denise D Young
My Review
An enchanting tale about a young woman, Moira, finding her place in the world. I liked how werewolves were portrayed!

When They Come For Us by KC Kingmaker
My Review
I liked the premise for “Briarwitch Academy” as presented in the blurb and decided to give the prequel a shot. I almost DNFed on page one because of the language. Dawn and Archer’s relationship, if you can call it that, needs a lot more development to feel real past the initial meeting. The story jumps from scene-to-scene too much – pausing only on the erotica and ignoring the story development. I won’t be continuing with this series.
Trigger warnings: foul language, coarse language, nudity, sex, violence.

Thanks for the mini reviews. Too bad you didn’t enjoy the last one. But it can be hard to connect when the story jumps around too much.
