The Dark King

Landscape character banner for "The Dark King". On the left stands a handsome, vampire-like faery king with dark messy hair, sharp features, and a charming smile, wearing a tailored black suit with ornate silver embroidery. In the center, a dark metallic crown icon sits above the title "The Dark King". Below the title, text reads: "Power without mercy. Chaos without remorse. A Kingdom ruled by fear and ambition." The background shows an ornate black obsidian throne framed by braziers burning with bright blue fire.

Who is the faery king?

Known as the Dark King, the Unseelie King, and the Faery King, Ciarán rules the Dark Lands with a power few dare challenge.

Charming or cruel, calculating or chaotic, he answers to no one but himself. His word can inspire terror, his whims can reshape destinies, and even the Unseen Unseelie bow to his authority.

In his cold kingdom, an obsidian throne room is illuminated only by blue flames. Fear is as much a tool of his rule as magic, and he delights in sowing chaos, especially when it serves his ambitions.

Though he shares dominion over the fae with the Faery Queen, their ancient history is marked by bargains, rivalries, and consequences neither can entirely escape.

He is the Dark King. And even darkness answers to him.

Vertical portrait of The Dark King standing tall in a dark Gothic stone chamber. He has dark, textured hair falling slightly across his forehead, striking dark eyes, and a dangerously charming grin. He wears a high-collared black velvet jacket with intricate silver embroidery along the lapels and cuffs. In the background, an ornate black iron throne is centered between pedestal braziers radiating vivid blue flames.

Faery King Sightings (Folklore Notes)

An atmospheric, gothic-style blog banner featuring a central image of the Dark King, a regal, pale-skinned figure with prominent antlers, seated on a throne in a frozen, cavernous landscape. He wears elaborate dark armor, a purple-lined cloak, and a crown, while holding a gnarled staff topped with a blue crystal and conjuring dark energy in his open palm. The surrounding environment is filled with frozen gothic architecture, torches, and hooded figures, all beneath a sky showing the aurora borealis. Below the image, the name "THE DARK KING" is displayed in a black serif font on a textured, parchment-colored background, accompanied by the text "THE FAERIE MYTHOS" at the top center, a signature by "Ronel the Mythmaker" in the bottom right, and two circular emblems featuring a crescent moon and a crown in the lower corners.
