Book Review: Creepy Hollow Companion Books by @AuthorRMorgan #fantasy #YA #bookreview

I’ve mentioned in a previous review how much I enjoy the world of Creepy Hollow. I’ve finally had a chance to read a couple of short companion books to the series.

Deadly power. Stunning beauty. She will not be controlled.

Sixteen-year-old Beth’s ordinary life is shattered the night her dormant magic awakens and she almost kills her boyfriend. Horrified at what she’s done, she flees into the fae realm to find the siren mother who disowned her a decade ago. When it turns out her power cannot be controlled, she is once again cast out from the siren community. Alone and afraid, Beth winds up in the Dark North where a group of witches rescues her. They offer to help her gain control of her deadly magic–but at what price?

Taste a darker side of the magical world in this captivating story of one of Creepy Hollow’s villains!

Scarlett is a companion story to the bestselling YA fantasy Creepy Hollow series. While it is best enjoyed in conjunction with the rest of the series, it is a standalone story that can be read on its own.

My Review: Scarlett

I got the ebook a while back and it’s been languishing in my TBR.

“I am independent. I am strong. I am powerful.” The mantra the witches teach her that turns Beth into Scarlett.

Beth, half-siren and without the magic of her mother, almost kills her human boyfriend when her magic awakens.

She flees to the magical world of the sirens, but even they reject her and her halfling powers.

A family of witches takes her in and teaches her magic, control and confidence.

But all is not what it seems…

A thrilling tale set in the Creepy Hollow world with lots of twists, magic and a siren coming into her own.

Highly enjoyable.

Trigger warnings: neglect, abandonment, murder.

The glittering magic of high society faerie life, with a hint of forbidden romance …

When design student Raven Rosewood, daughter of high society fae, is almost killed in an explosion, her parents insist on assigning a bodyguard to protect her at all times. Raven agrees, but only if she can choose the guard.

Flint’s life couldn’t be more different from that of his employers. He doesn’t agree with their extravagant ways, but he’s admired their daughter Raven since he first met her. When asked to guard her more closely after her life is threatened, Flint is happy to take on the assignment.

Despite the gulf between their stations in life, Raven and Flint can’t help growing close to one another. As the pressure of Raven’s final fashion show builds, along with the threat of her parents discovering her relationship with a guard, Raven and Flint must decide whether their differences will push them apart or bring them closer together.

Raven is a companion story to the bestselling YA fantasy Creepy Hollow series. While it is best enjoyed in conjunction with the rest of the series, it is a standalone story that can be read on its own.

My Review: Raven

I bought the paperback for Christmas. It was signed by Rachel! Check it out on Instagram.

A sweet romance story set in the glittering halls of high fashion and high fae society in the world of Creepy Hollow.

Rich world-building, loads of magic and a touch of danger makes this a fun read.

An excellent companion book to the Creepy Hollow series. Love Raven’s designs!

Before Violet met Nate, the human boy who followed her into the fae realm and turned her life upside down, she was the perfect guardian trainee. She followed all the rules and did her best to protect her human assignments. Goblins, ogres, trolls—Vi learned how to handle them all.

In An A to Z of Creepy Hollow Fae, catch a glimpse of some of Vi’s past assignments, and experience the life of a faerie training to be a guardian.

***Includes the first five chapters of THE FAERIE GUARDIAN, first novel in the Creepy Hollow series***

My Review: An A to Z of Creepy Hollow Fae

I got this one for free on Amazon – see, those recommendation emails they send are good for something.

A fun A-Z Challenge vignette selection of Vi’s assignments before “The Faerie Guardian”.

The various creatures are quickly shown with what Guardians have to do to stop them.

An interesting companion book.
