U is for Lady Gaga and Pink

As I mentioned in my theme-reveal post, this month will be all about music and how it inspires my writing.
I first heard of Lady Gaga when “Poker Face” came out. She is so theatrical! I really enjoy her music. The lyrics of her songs tell so many stories. “Marry the Night”, for example, has a story within a story. I listen to her music when creating characters (more like fleshing them out and creating character playlists) and writing a first draft. I can’t wait to see her movie “A Star is Born“!
Favourite album: I don’t have one – I listen and love all of her music. Favourite song: “Bad Romance“
Pink (or P!nk, if you prefer) has been on my playlists for decades. I’ve enjoyed her edgy punk-pop music since the first song I heard (not sure what that was, though). I listen to her songs while drafting, rewriting and editing. “Who Knew?” was my favourite song for a long time – and it still works well for writing doomed romances (I like to torture my characters). “Funhouse” is a favourite when writing settings…
Favourite album: “Funhouse” Favourite song: “So What“
Word of the day: unrhythmic
According to Collins English dictionary: unrhythmic or unrhythmical adj lacking rhythm; having an irregular beat

Do you like Lady Gaga or Pink? Do you have a favourite music group/artist that starts with a “U”?

I don’t like Pink or Lady Gaga. Madonna was unusual in her day (and still is) but I love her anyway. She is more of the era I belong to, along with Blondie aka Debra Harry.

Then you’ll love my entry for Z!
I LOVE Pink; her music is catchy and her energy is contagious. I also love the theme of your challenge; I’m so behind with visiting blogs, so I’m definitely going to have to dedicate time to read over yours. Music really inspires and shapes my writing, so I can relate to this concept!
Thank you 🙂 I’m a bit behind on visiting blogs, too. Sigh. It happens to all of us 😉
