U is for bUrn
This year I’m taking a break from Faerie and doing an A to Z of my TBR (to be read) list instead. Each letter will have books starting with that letter on my list, a book I’ve read and reviewed (with the review!) and one of my books matching the letter with a link about more info about the book. I’ve decided not to include words like “A”, “The” and “An” during this challenge.
I had to get a little creative with this one…
About the Book I’ve Read
This one was recommended by Amazon in the Paranormal Women’s Fiction genre.
Darcie Weatherby has a full plate—a preteen and sixteen-year-old twins, a wayward grandmother, a nightmare boss, and a manipulative ex-husband. The last thing she needs are hot flashes.
Especially ones that start fires.
But like most single mothers, Darcie sucks it up and deals with it, because what else can she do? The kids need to be fed, her grandmother needs supervising, and her demanding boss needs placating.
Burning her boss’s house down was a total accident.
It doesn’t take long before Darcie realizes she’s running on borrowed time. Unless she figures out a way to get these hot flashes under control, there’s a very good chance she’ll spontaneously combust at the Founder’s Day Masquerade Ball and leave her children motherless. There’s no way in hell—or Perry’s Fall, Ohio—Darcie will let that happen.
Never underestimate the determination of a mother.
Especially a smokin’ hot one.
Check it out on Goodreads.
A great book with loads of emotion, action, thrills and fun twists. I enjoyed her journey of finding herself again, learning not to take nonsense from anybody, and becoming a truly strong woman. The paranormal stuff was just icing. And Stone…!
A fun read. Will read more in this series (if it ever becomes a series).
I hope you enjoyed this. For more books I’ve read and reviewed, check out either my Pinterest board about reviews or my Goodreads profile. Alternatively, you can check out my reviews on BookBub. Have you read any of the books? Loved or hated any of them?
*FYI, my reviews are my honest opinion and if something bothers me, I tell it straight. How else will anything change? My opinions are based on being a voracious reader and book buyer, not an attack on the author.*

Those Thesauruses are sooooo tempting, but it’s an almost bottomless list of options that I dare not try one! Have you read any of them Ronel and, if so, do you recommend dipping a toe in the water?
Debs visiting this year from
Making Yourself Relationship Ready
I’ve paged through them and I really like them 🙂 Hopefully I can finish the ones I have with May’s Bout of Books readathon.
I have to admit I am not a great reader, unlike my wife who will read a couple a novels a week. I do have a big pile of reference books though on all sorts of random stuff. Many thanks for the visit to my blog. It appears the light at the end of the Alphabet is getting closer now by the day . . . . . OK that has been true since the letter A but we are now also slightly closer to Summer and that is a good thing.
I love reference books! We’re moving into winter where I am, which is great as it means no more mosquitoes or flies 🙂
I don’t know if Mummy has read lots of book starting with U. I have a U in my name, though, so perhaps she could count one with me in the title, if she writes one.
Ludo from Georges GP World
That sounds like a great idea — get your mummy to do it!
Glad to see I am not the only one with an unruly TBR pile!
The Other Side | The A of Z of Conspiracy Theories
It seems to get out more out of control every year!
Let it All Burn sounds great and the cover is gorgeous.
It is! I hope the author continues the series.
