F is for Fleetwood Mac

As I mentioned in my theme-reveal post, this month will be all about music and how it inspires my writing.
Fleetwood Mac played on the radio often – especially “Dreams” and “Little Lies”. They weren’t what I’d call a temporary fascination. Until the “Glee” episode featuring their music – specifically, their album “Rumours”. I really liked Rachel’s take on “Go Your Own Way”. Since then, I have a playlist with some of their songs – usually for writing non-fiction for some odd reason.
Favourite album: “Fleetwood Mac – Greatest Hits”. Favourite song: “Dreams”.
Word of the day: falsetto
According to Collins English dictionary: falsetto n voice pitched higher than one’s natural range
There are so many songs I could have chosen, but I decided on this one from “Glee”. It’s short and sweet.

Do you like Fleetwood Mac? Do you have a favourite music group/artist that starts with an “F”?

I love Fleetwood Mac! Great F post. Now, with bated breath, I’ll wait to see if my comment appears.
I hope you didn’t stop breathing! We had a couple of excellent thunder storms the last couple of days — so much fun (and minimum internet and electricity). I’m glad you liked my post 🙂
I always enjoyed Fleetwood Mac. I’ve never seen Glee before, though–not even a clip, so it was fun to see what I’ve heard so many people talking about. F is for: Fast Forward into the Future
I’m glad you enjoyed it, Heather 🙂
I think I have heard more Fleetwood Mac than I recognize 🙂
The Multicolored Diary
It was odd to find that a lot of songs I like were theirs 🙂
I enjoy Fleetwood Mac, but I have a neighbor who enjoyed it a lot! Especially one song. Needless to say, I got worn out on that song because she overplayed it for a week straight and our apartment walls aren’t thick so sound carries easily. x_x LOL
Ouch! Some people should learn how to use headphones to listen to music…
One of my top 5 bands. I particularly love Stevie Nicks. She is my idol. So many of their songs have hit me at personal times in my life.
I’m glad I featured a band you love 🙂
Fleetwood Mac!!!! Yes!!!!! I used to sing the Rumours album reading the lyric sheet that came in with the record…yup vinyl…I am old (ish)
Sounds like you had fun with that album! And you’re only as old as you think you are 😉 (Bryan Adams believes that he’ll be 18 ’til he dies!)
One of my absolute favorites! Rumors is an incredible album. I actually have it on cassette, bought it when it came out. Great choice for F. For me there would be no other.
Thanks, Laura 🙂 I’m glad you liked my selection.
The song I most liked from Glee was “Mean” – sung on the show by Puck. I didn’t watch the whole series, but I know that one.
None of this comment is about the letter F. I’m flaking out! #fail
“Mean” was a great punk song selection for Glee — which was odd, seeing as a lot of their songs were on the show tune side 🙂
I loved Fleetwood Mac and also Stevie’s music after she left the band. There was always something otherworldly and storylike in their songs — I think of gypsies and faeries.
Absolutely!
Ronel,
Fleetwood has been a favorite band of mine since the early 70s. I think I own their ‘Rumors’ album on CD but I haven’t looked at any physical media in years ever since I began streaming mewsic from YT or SiriusXM. Glee is a show I haven’t gotten into. It just doesn’t appeal to me but I do love singing competition like American Idol and The Voice. Falsetto should be used wisely especially for guys. I like it when a man sounds like a man. I love the warmer tones of a male voice and prefer it to most female artists who often are too brittle for my ears. Thanks for the share and for visiting my A2Z Little Mermaid art sketch series ‘Flounder’ post.
