R is for Roxette and Rush
As I mentioned in my theme-reveal post, this month will be all about music and how it inspires my writing.
I grew up with Roxette. They are so much fun to listen to! I have them on my editing and admin playlists.
Favourite album: “Tourism” Favourite song: “Joyride”
I first heard of Rush when “Tom Sawyer” was played in the episode “Chuck vs Tom Sawyer” in one of the seasons of “Chuck” where he had to save the world from a threat hidden in an arcade game. I have them on various playlists, varying by the project I’m dealing with.
Favourite album: “R30” Favourite song: “Tom Sawyer”
Both these R’s are easy to listen to with fun lyrics and great music.
Word of the day: rackett
According to Collins English dictionary: rackett n music a double-reeded wind instrument of the Renaissance period
Check out how Chuck plays a game on the music of Rush.
Do you like Roxette or Rush? Do you have a favourite music group/artist that starts with an “R”?

Don’t forget Rocket Man by David Bowie! Popping by from the A-Z blog list. Have a great weekend 🙂
When I read “Rocket Man” I immediately thought of Elton John’s song 😉 Great weekend to you, too!
Rush is such a cerebral band, and not many people ‘get’ them. I also really like Roxette – my favorite of theirs is You’ve Got The Look.
Roxette have so many songs that can just stick in your head! Right now “Dangerous” is my ear-worm…
I like both! As well as Roy Orbison, The Ronettes, and The Raconteurs:

Great selection! Thanks for stopping by 🙂
I loved Rush growing up in the seventies. Tom Sawyer is great. I saw them in concert. Roxette isn’t a band I listen to but it reminded me of Doucette because ‘ette’.
I am really enjoying your posts.

Thanks, Jackie 🙂
Chuck was the first time where I encountered Tom Sawyer as well. 🙂
That was a great episode 🙂
